Hi, I'm Sara

I have been fascinated by and studying the mind and body since I took my first college psychology and anatomy & physiology classes over a decade ago. I recieved a diploma in nursing and worked at a hospital as a licensed practical nurse on a pre- and post-op surgical floor, followed by some time working with the elderly and end-of-life in a long-term care community. Armed with those experiences and a desire to be with people in a different way, I went back to school for massage therapy, where I learned more in-depth anatomy and neuroscience and kept expanding my knowledge and listening through touch.

On something of my own healing journey for an old head injury, and with a drive to define health for myself, I found and tried all sorts of massage, myofascial therapy, chiropractic work, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, yoga, reiki, sensory deprivation, sound healing, you name it — I love them all, and they have all helped me immensely over the years. But when I was in school for massage therapy, inspired by a passionate advanced techniques instructor touting the miracle of embryology, I found myself in a biodynamic craniosacral therapy session and I had never had such a profound experience at the hands of another practitioner. I had never been just held like that. Witnessed. Listened to.

Nature heals, the doctor nurses.
– Paracelsus

Biodynamic craniosacral therapy doesn’t aim to “fix,”  it creates a safe and supportive environment for the body to self-correct and heal. It is a gentle, non-invasive, holistic healing modality with roots in osteopathy, based on the principles of biodynamics, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of all living systems and honours the inherent intelligence of the body.

Throughout my education, the material I was really resonating with had so many roots in Ayurveda that I eventually signed up to study this amazing body of knowledge with The Shakti School, and after a year+ of ongoing study and practice with a bunch of amazing women, I have received a certificate with them as an Ayurvedic wellness coach.

Please see my offerings in the drop down menu for more information. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you are interested in working together. Happy to meet for a consult.

As Dr. Vasant Lad says:

Love and light.
