Ayurvedic Wellness
I began studying Ayurveda in 2025 with The Shakti School and their amazing faculty of women. Our primary text for year one is Dr. Vasant Lad's Textbook of Ayurveda, Volume One, and my understanding of Ayurveda stems mostly from these two sources. I will always be a student of these teachings, and it is my intention that by sharing what I learn, Ayurveda may be able to help someone like it has helped me. I was drawn to Ayurveda because its health care system is the most holistic and intuitive approach I've come across. It involves the mind, body, and soul; utilizing food, spices, and herbs as medicine, and it is highly personal and adaptive to time and place.
Ayurveda is one of the world's oldest healing systems: India's 5,000+ year old dynamic science of life that understands the human being as a reflection of nature itself and the five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether). At its heart, it offers something simple and profound: when we understand our own nature, we can live in harmony with it.
We would begin with an initial appointment to go over your intake form. From there we meet in ongoing 1:1 sessions, reassessing "where you're at and what you need" (shout out Dr. Siva Mohan), to build a practice that is entirely your own: guided by your original blueprint and current imbalance while taking into account nature's cycles. Ayurveda, for me, was about taking responsibility for my health and learning to tune in to what I actually need in real time; but these practices take time to learn and implement, and change with the elements and seasons. I will do my best to help navigate the ongoing journey that is Ayurveda, for me it is a practice of caring for myself and others.
There is no one-size-fits-all here—only an ongoing discovery of what is right for you. Feel free to reach out for more information if you have any questions. The Ayurvedic Institute (that Dr. Vasant Lad founded) has a beautiful article answering "What is Ayurveda?" --> link below:

"According to Ayurvedic principles, by understanding oneself, by identifying one's own constitution, and by recognizing sources of doshic aggravation, one can not only follow the proper guidelines to cleanse, purify, and prevent disease, but also uplift oneself into a realm of awareness previously unknown."
– Vasant Lad
